For sale is a large Alfred Meakin Staffordshire turkey platter. Perfect for Thanksgiving! Beautiful platter w/raised design on ends; very good condition! It is 18 long x 13.5 wide. Backside has brown backstamp: 'Alfred Meakin Staffordshire, England, A Hand Engraved Pattern, Applied under the glaze, detergent and acid resisting colour'. This particular backstamp has not been located yet; however, it looks like an older backstamp, and it does not say great Britain, or 'dishwasher or microwave safe', therefore, my age estimate on it is 1900's-early 1930's, maybe even earlier. Alfred Meakin Lidded Chamberpot
For sale is an Alfred Meakin lidded chamberpot. c.1897+. This fancy pot is white with raised design. Very nice large potty. Has one flaw: a little chip off bottom of lid which does not show when lid is on. It stands 8 inches tall with lid on and is 9.25 wide. Perfect for the antique washstand or vintage powder room! A great idea is to have a long shelf in the powder room with various mustache mugs, shaving mugs, and chamber pots on it! djau-#2013-4-08

Alfred Meakin Chamber Pot
For sale is an Alfred Meakin lidded chamber pot. c:1914+. It has the Alfred Meakin name with unicorn and wreath backstamp on the bottom. Raised harvest pattern. It has one very TINY glaze miss on the lid and one tiny fleabite off the bottom rim which does not permeate the visible portion of the pot nor does it affect stance. This chamber pot looks magnificent on an antique washstand or in the powder room.
