Z. S. & Co. Bavarian Platter
For sale is a Z. S. & Co. Bavarian platter. c.1880-?. Very striking platter/cake plate made by Zeh, Scherzer & Co. of Bavaria, Germany. This cake plate/platter has the green backstamp which is shown as mark 'N' in Kovels book of marks, pg. 195: the backstamp reads: Irene, (pattern name?), and Z.S. & Co. over Bavaria. No chips or cracks; some very minor tiny scratches visible only under a strong lamplight, and two tiny pits in the surface, (less than pin head size, and are glazed over). It features beautiful pink roses and gold border. It is 11.75 one way x 11 wide. Great to use or display! Or, give it as a housewarming or hostess gift!
