(aka, table plateau/vanity tray). c.late 19th, early 20th C); tin bottom with no chips or cracks, but does have some minor silver loss near edges of mirror top, and some fine scratching, but nothing you will notice once your pretties are atop it! The metal is also turning a bit green on some spots as you can see in the pictures. These flaws are very common on antique vanity trays; have never found one that is perfect. It is 14.25 from rim edge to rim edge; or 15 inches if measuring from bottom foot to other side and 1.5 tall. Plateaus were made from 1810-to late 19th C., and originally used as formal table centerpieces in the Victorian era to showcase cut-glass bowls; today we use them for vanity items like perfume bottles!
