Framed Oriental Picture For sale is a framed oriental picture. Features a lovely picture of a geisha standing on a balcony overlooking a lake. On the leftside of the picture is what appears to be some Japanese letters, likely the artist's name. Good condition and is 26.5 wide x 13.25 tall. Purchased from an estate about 15 years ago; had it hanging in my formal living room, but have now changed the theme.

Vintage Signed Art Pottery Vase For sale is a vintage art pottery vase. Appears to be hand thrown; (has ridges on interior); and has an oriental symbol on bottom, (3 lines in a square), and Made in Japan and another symbol that looks like a tree. I am not expert on oriental marks, but similar marks can be viewed on the Gothborg site. This is a hefty vase; superb coloring and finish, reminiscent of Cliftwood art pottery but better. Age est: 1921-1940's at the latest; prior to 1921 it would have been marked Nippon. No chips or cracks; stands 6.25 tall. Antique Nippon Hand Painted Vase For sale is an antique Nippon hand painted vase. c:1911-1921. Gorgeous Nippon vase featuring a hand painted landscape. Green backstamp: wreath with M in center, Hand Painted Nippon; this mark was used from above mentioned time period and represents, Morimura Nippon. No cracks; has some white dots where paint has come off or did not adhere and some wear off the gold on the handles as can be expected. The vase stands 7 tall x 15 inches around. The flowers around top of vase appear to be enameled. A nice piece of Nippon for your collection. Similar painted scenes shown on pg's., 236 & 239 of the Nippon book by J. Patten. Vintage Tilso Japan Porcelain Clown Liquor Bottle For sale is a vintage Tilso Japan porcelain clown licquor bottle. It has a foil sticker on the bottom reading: Tilso, Japan, and a number in red ink #521867. Some of the cold paint has flecked off here and there. He has a cork stopper, and crazing. Age est: pre WW2. He stands about 8.5 tall x 3 wide. These are hot collectibles according the B.Roberts Made in Japan book, and the book value on similar bottles are from $25-$250.00!

Antique Black Nippon Footed Vase For sale is an antique black Nippon footed vase. c:pre 1921. Research indicates this may be 'black Nippon', which was pottery made to resemble Chinese bronze of 400 years ago. It has 3 feet; and a bronze and black like finish. It has an incised mark: 'Made in Nippon' as well as a date or artist's mark in a square, (symbols are too tiny to make out). Overall 'good antique' condition. There is a 2 inch scratch on interior side of vase; it does not appear to be a hairline, just a scratch; and some paint loss flakes on interior bottom; price is same anyway since this is what is likely a 'rare' item. It is 4.25 tall x 8.5 wide from rim to rim; at bottom rim it is 9.5 wide. What is known for sure is that it was made pre-1921.

Vintage Wales China Demitasse Teacup Set For sale are 6 vintage Wales china demitasse teacups and saucers. These feature gold trim, handles, and Fragonard scenes. Shown in the pic with a German porcelain tray that has similar design which is being sold separately. These cups are either demitasse or child's cups; minimal age/wear, some have tiny stray paint marks on interior, (these are hand painted w/transferware Fragonard scenes). Vintage Nasco HP Teacup For sale is a vintage Nasco hand painted teacup and saucer. Very old looking teacup and saucer featuring a blue landscape scene: lake, trees and a house or old mill. It is very pretty, and is clearly marked on bottom: N, Nasco, Hand Painted, Lakeview, Japan. 'Lakeview' is the pattern name. The bottom dry rim is quite dark and aged looking. The cup is 3.5 wide x 2.25 tall. The saucer is 5.75 wide. No chips or cracks.

Occupied Japan Dragonware Teacup For sale is a collectible Occupied Japan lustre Dragonware teacup and saucer. c.1948-1953. (I have 3 for sale in various colors, the price is for one). This is a gorgeous cup & saucer with dragon motif, and lustre interior. I refer to these as 'Satsuma', however, they are also called 'Dragonware'. No chips or cracks. The saucer is 5.5 wide; cup is 4 wide x 2.25 tall. This one has blue and peach coloring. Marked: 'Made in Occupied Japan' in black inkstamp. Vintage Koppit Basket For sale is a vintage Koppit basket. Fabulous, beautifully made, tightly woven basket called a 'Koppit' basket; good condition, only the strap handle is showing some wear. Internet research shows an identical basket on 2 museum sites, one has a collection of items from the 1890's; and these are said to have been made in the Phillipines. This basket has a nice darkened patina on it. Not sure of what the function of this basket was, but it is very tightly woven and well-made. This basket has three compartments, maybe for sewing items or fishing or pipe & tobacco basket? Each compartment fits into each other and the woven handle holds it all together. It is 9.5 long x 6 high x 4 wide. When you pull the top piece up, there appears to be some type of resin on each of the four bottom corners of the next basket part and there is a shallow basket, then when you pull that piece up you get a deeper basket. A true work of art!

Two Vintage Japanese Vases For sale is a pair of vintage Japanese vases. Gorgeous vases with black symbol on bottoms and JAPAN. They have no chips or cracks and stand 5.75 inches tall. This must have been a popular design because in my books on vintage Japan ceramics, there are numerous items like bisquit jars, reamers, sugar bowls, etc. with this design on them, (multi-color floral motif). A great pair for your vintage Japan collection! Pretty to put one on each nightstand with some silk flowers!

Signed Vintage Oriental Dragon Vase For sale is a signed vintage oriental dragon vase. Large, heavy-duty vase; perhaps a Bonsai dish garden. This vase appears to be hand made on a pottery wheel; it has ridges on interior; and has a majolica like glaze, and raised dragon circling rim. No cracks but does have some minor flaws: the dragon's tongue is chipped, a fang has a fleabite, some fleabites on upper rim of snake's body, and one of the 3 feet on bottom is chipped which doesn't affect stance. Because this item is so incredibly detailed the flaws are not apparent unless searching for them. There also appears to be an artist's signature, (incised mark) on bottom, but I cannot determine what it reads. This vase is 11 inches wide x 4.75 tall. This is vintage, and probably antique; it came from an estate auction and the former collector had a lot of antique oriental garden statutary, bonsai dishes, bronze, etc. Unfortunately, the pictures are not capturing how exceptional this vase really is.

Vintage Oriental Table Top Panel For sale is a vintage oriental table top panel. Beautiful, unique vintage panel. Likely made in Japan. It is quite heavy for its size, and has black lacquering and gold paint on one side; and the other side features 4 urns with lotus, dogwood, and other types of plants. Each urn appears to be made out of shaved agates, and the flowers are made from abilone; the green on the leaves of the plants might be jade. It is showing some wear, mainly on the black lacquered side, (some nicks and paint loss; other side is great but for some small nicks on one of the urns. This divider is 17 long x 14 tall. I've never come across one like this; usually these dividers just have abilone geishas on them and are much larger. It makes a wonderful tabletop accessory!

Vintage Knobler Paper Mache Tray and Accessories For sale is a vintage Knobler paper mached tray and accessories. Very attractive vintage paper mache tray marked in red: Alfred E. Knobler, Alcohol Proof Japan. There is also a matching coaster set, and 4 smaller trays. They all feature green parots and flowers. The tray is 14 x 12.5; smaller trays are 9.5 x 5.75. There are 4 coasters inside the round box. I think you could take the coasters out and use this box as a powder box and set it atop the tray and use the tray as a vanity tray! It is showing some age as can be expected, but still quite beautiful! (age estimate: 1920's-40's)

Signed Antique Cloisonne Enameled Vase For sale is a signed antique oriental cloisonne vase. This vase has a mark on the bottom; 2 symbols in a square against a navy blue background see pic #5. Ming or Qing Dynasty marks?, not an expert on Chinese marks, see Gothborg site for more info on marks. This vase is in 'antique' condition; interior bottom has a small spot where enamel is missing and the interior enamel is crazed/striated indicating a lot of age.
