For sale is an oil painting signed Daniel Yazzie. Features a Navajo man, (self-portrait?). This is an oil on canvas in a Grumbacher N.Y. wood frame inside a wood frame. The Grumbacher frame is 12 x 16; with outer frame it is 17 x 12.75. This oil painting itself is very well done although it might look better in a nicer exterior frame. Antique Frame and Currier & Ives Lithograph
For sale is an antique frame and Currier & Ives lithograph. This was listed in the auction catalog as a 'Currier & Ives Lithograph, Little Sarah, hand tinted in a 19th C. Mahogany frame'. Auction value: $120-200.00, and auction value is generally 1/2 market price. The litho is very sweet, but just a bit dingy around edges. The frame is in very good condition; it is mahogany hardwood and has the original hardwood back. I did not remove the back because the picture looks very delicate and I did not want to damage anything. The frame is what really attracted my attention. It is very mission style, except it is mahogany not oak! The frame is 19.25 long x 15.5 wide. Bottom of litho reads: Little Sarah, Published by Currier & Ives, 152 Nassau St. New York. The picture depicts a little girl with shirley temple curls, and blue eyes that match her dress, holding her kitty! [dd.au.CC-V]
