This sewing box contains a tray, a chinese pin cushion, (this alone is worth $15), a vintage Sewing Circle Needle Assortment, (some needles are missing); a vintage Peacock needle assortment pack, (Made in Redditch, England by The Star Pin Co., Shelton, Conn., [note the old state abbreviation on it]; 2 intact packs of rocaille beads with old price tag; 2 baggies full of snaps and girdle straps; a box of silk threads signed Belding Hemingway Sewing Silks, and additional items. The sewing box itself is in pretty good condition but for missing the exterior hook which the loop is supposed to fit over. You could fix this by putting a U hook into the sewing box. The vintage needle packages sell for quite a bit of money all by themselves, so this is a great buy!

It has a paper label on bottom, (no bar code, so it is an older one, but not antique); label reads: Made in ..., probably Japan or Hong Kong, the word is missing), and a number. Also has a wood bottom, (newer baskets usually have corkboard or plastic bottoms). It is 8.5 long x 5.5 deep x 4.5 tall. Inside are some neat items including a small sewing repair Coca Cola sewing tin with contents intact; 3 collectible old sewing needle assortment packs. One reads: Fashion Quality Needlebook, 115 needles, (nickel plated rustproof needles), most of which are still inside. Next is a Sears Roebuck & Co. needlepack, (no needles inside, but the paper advertising needle package is in good condition); next is an advertising needle package, (most of the needles are inside), reads: Wolverine Storage Co., etc. Next are some silk and cotton darning & crochet spools; and last are some vintage wood spools of thread, (silk & mercerized cotton including: J&P Coat's, Clark's, Star, etc.) (modern spools are hard plastic). Antique Clark's Mile-End Spool Cabinet For sale is an antique Clark's two drawer spool cabinet. It is in original condition; brass pulls; stenciled name; dove-tailed drawer corners. The wood appears to be cherry. It has some age flaws as expected, but displays fine. These can be refinished, but since it is not in bad condition you can leave as is if you want. The box does not appear too old until you look inside! Inside is a floral motif with plastic covering, very similar to my old sewing boxes from the 1930-40's! Carved Sewing Caddy and Notions For sale is a vintage carved wood sewing caddy and sewing notions. Age estimate: 1920's & earlier. This caddy has painted pansies on it. The pansies are hard to see in the pics because the patina is so darkened with age, but it is quite beautiful up close. It has 2 panels on top that open; there is a small hole in the lid on one side, not sure why that is there but I think it is to run yarn through. This case is 12 long; 9 deep x 11 tall. You also get some nice sewing notions including, crochet thread; Coats & Clark mercerized cotton thread, (wood spools); J&P Coates; Clarks; mending yarn, and more items not shown! Dritz Sewing Basket Assortment For sale is a vintage Dritz sewing basket assortment. The top has blue and green flowers on it and so does the interior. Purchased from a woman who said she was born in 1930, and this was her basket as a child! It does look pretty old, I was thinking the 50's but she insisted the 1930-40's. I put a lot of extras in this basket too that are not shown in the pics! The bottom of this basket reads: Dritz, Style No. 7063, Japan. The plastic insert is a little beat up, but is taped together, and still holds items as you can see. The wood/paint on it is very striated indicating age. Looks like a signature of 'wta' or 'rita'; and features two sides that lift up, and painted surface.
