Very nice vintage Shawnee Pottery pedestal vase. Shawnee Pottery Co. only in business from 1937-1961. Lovely, heavy, soft peach colored Shawnee two-handled vase, marked USA, and shown in J. Mangus' 1994 book on Shawnee pottery. It is 8 tall x 5.5 total width. Dry bottom rim and is in good condition, no chips or cracks. You could mistake it for a McCoy, it is identical in weight and glaze color, and since Shawnee stopped making pottery in 1961, there is much less of it around than McCoy. |
