Antique Jas Benjamin saltglaze crock. c:1800's. Cobalt blue lettering: Jas. Benjamin Wholesale Stoneware Depot Cincinatti, O. Good condition, no chips or cracks, and just one small black mark on the top rim. Interior is albany slip, (dark brown glaze). A very attractive crock, and hard to find these antique ones in this good of condition! M. Moran's 2004 book on McCoy pottery shows same style crock with different words and the book price is $1,000-$1200. The crock stand shown in one of the pics is for sale separately, e-mail me.
