Vintage Shawnee? USA shoe planter. Very cute little aqua glazed, pottery shoe. This shoe was listed at another site as a Shawnee, but I cannot locate it in my Shawnee book. It is possible it is in another Shawnee book, or it could be a McCoy, Morton, Brush-McCoy or other American company. Marked USA on the bottom side, (faint mark), and Shawnee did mark a lot of their novelties with just the USA mark. It is 4.5 long x 2.5 wide. No chips or cracks, just a bit of faint crazing. Start a vintage shoe collection! They are still affordable, and small, so they don't take up too much space! |
