Manufacturer: Atlantic Mold
For sale is a large attractive vintage rooster figurine. Bottom has incised mark: Atlantic Mold, and the ceramicist's signature of which I cannot make out. It stands 14.25 tall x 12 long. I thought one of the tail feather edges was chipped off, but there is glaze on this; so perhaps it fell off in the first firing, then was glazed over in the 2nd firing. At any rate, it really is not noticeable or distracting and this is a gorgeous old rooster. I have had this on my mantle for many, many years, so I do know it is vintage, but is not antique. It would be fabulous in a country or french country style kitchen or dining room. |
