Circa: 1833+ Manufacturer: Daniel & Arter
Lovely antique Victorian glass biscuit jar. c: 1883. Well hallmarked on both lid and rim. 'D&A EPNS H 5799'. EPNS = electroplated nickel silver, aka, silver plate. Country of origin: England. This item is a quality item; it is in good 'antique' condition; bottom rim is quite worn and smooth. It stands about 6.75 tall; 4 wide across top rim. The glass on the jar pings like crystal, but might be EAPG. Once used for tea biscuits, crackers and scones. The pattern consists of diamonds and round concave dots. A gorgeous jar to grace your dining room breakfront! Put it on your wish list and have your significant other get it for you! sch-au#1658-1-07 |
