For sale is a nice vintage McCoy Pottery blended glaze jardinaire. c:1920's. (majolica/blended glaze style). Shown on pg. 16 of Vol. 1 of B. Hanson's book. No chips or cracks; does have some whitish water residue marks, (former owner must have actually used it as a planter), near top and mainly on interior of jard. However, it still displays very well with or without a plant in it. It is 9 wide x 7.75 tall. There are also some glaze misses, especially around bottom rim, and some glaze pops, and crazing which is only noticeable if looking at it closely. The colors are brown, green, yellow, tan. (This jard can fit on the tall McCoy pedestal I have for sale too). These jards look great at the holidays with poinsettas or small x-mas trees in them too! |
