Vintage gloss aqua USA rooster planter. Age est: 1930's-50's. Definitely American made pottery; heavy, well-made. Has a dry bottom rim, with faint underglaze incised USA mark. 99% sure it is Camark; see pg. 145 of D. Gifford's book II but could also be McCoy, Brush, Shawnee, etc. It is 9.25 tall x 8 long x 3.5 wide. It has all over faint crazing and spidering, and some mineral deposits on interior, but no chips or cracks. FYI: USA is not a brand name or manufacturer; it just means the item was made in the USA. estcs |
