Vintage matte white Robinson Ransbottom vase. c:1939. 2 in store; price is for one. Incised mark: 184 / USA and shown in the book on RRP. It is 8 tall x 6 wide. One has no chips or cracks but has a lot of pin dots on it and a glaze pop near handle. Other one has some flaws, but still displays great! Flaws: it has some pinpops; a 1 inch tight hairline near top rim; and 2 tiny glaze separation lines on top rim; and one glaze sep line on bottom interior. The glaze separation lines happen during firing of the clay. Price reflects the flaws. These look great on each end of a breakfront or mantle, or on nightstands. |
