Antique Garnet Brooch Pin
Lovely deep red Almandine garnets
grace this very pretty Victorian brooch. It has an openwork motif with a circle of garnets outside a typical stacked round center. Pear shaped garnets accent the outer circle. All 76 stones are rose cut.
This dates about 1860s. It has the typical wire C Clasp and the barrel hinge typical of that period. The metal is either a very low carat gold or a heavy gold wash over copper or brass. It is 1 5/8 in diameter. Very good condition.
