This novel is set in New York, where the NYPD is pitted against the Chinese Mafia. Plenty of suspense keeps you reading! This is a 1981 Book Club edition. 410 pages.
6 x 8 1/2". The dust jacket is slightly soiled and has some nicks at the corners and base of the spine. The spine itself has some bending at the base. The book is firm and clean.

Heller gives us a novel that presents a rather jaded, sarcastic look at the hero, Bob Slocum, as he works through 569 pages of his mid life crisis! All ends well, he's in control and everyone is happy. 1974 - 1st edition.
Actually, this is well written and keeps the reader moving to the next page and on. The dust jacket is by Paul Bacon. There are slight wrinkles and a few chips. The cloth cover is bent slightly at the ends of the spine. It is a little shaky, but clean. 6" x 8 1/2".

Here is a Hersey's classic story of the "birth, development & destruction" of the Nazi created Warsaw Ghetto, before & during WW2. This book is a little twisted and the green cloth cover with a blindstamped design has faded. One corner is bumped as well as the ends of the spine. This is a 1st print, 1st edition, but the condition does not warrant any special listing.
The frontspiece has a date & name on it. 632 pages, 6"x8 3/4".

A delightful book that gives us the humor and flavor of the South. It includes 22 of William Price Fox short stories, several which had been in Saturday Evening Post. This is a 2nd printing from 1968. There is a plastic protector over the dust jacket. Condition is very good, except this is a library discard and someone used a black marker to cover the library & discard markings. The Kansas City public library pocket is still in the book. A great book for relaxing Summer reading & worth keeping to enjoy many times.
