Manufacturer: Redfield & Rice Here is a beautiful siverplate syrup pitcher from the late 1860s. 7 1/2" tall. Note the figural head on the handle and the helmeted one at the top of the lid. Patented 10/24/1865. This is accurate as the Redfield & Rice factory building collapsed in 1865, just as this was patented. They went on, but finally were bankrupt in 1872. Condition is excellent.
