Here is a beautifully designed sterling brooch. It has a very stylized bird motif. The birds head centers the piece, with the wing & tail circling the pin. The dark parts are deeply cut into the silver base.

There is a small round stone as the eye, probably coral. This design is very typical of some of the 20th Century Native American crafts workers.
It is 1 3/8" diameter. It is not marked but has tested as Sterling. Not signed, a good sign for older Native American jewelry. Condition is very good. |
