The agate in this nice piece of jewelry is unusual. The stone is almost like a moonstone with dark brown markings.

It is oval,set in a gold mounting. 15/16" by 7/16". This is a craftsperson's creation, as evidenced by some jewelers saw marks on the edges that can be seen with a loupe.. The clasp & pin are not gold. The clasp is an older style safety clasp with the open part on the top.
This pin looks very nice on pastels, light blue, pale yellow, pink - which show lightly through the agate. Unusual and unique. |
