| This is a very unusual and old sign. It was found in an attic in 1993 in a wooden box marked Morton's Salt. In it was a salesman's stock of metal signs. These are 27" X 10" and completely mint condition. These signs are covered in the paper used to seperate them when they were made. These signs have been tracked back to 1910, as in 1911, that is when the logo 'when it rains, it pours' appeared. These signs just say 'Morton's Salt...it pours'. The 'S' was dropped from the name Morton's in 1948. This buy is for one sign only. There are 2 pictures, one, trying to get the paper off, and the one for sale is the one with the paper, probably heat sealed from being in the wood box all those years. |
