This is a fabulous little bone china souvenir crested china dish or bon bon or pin dish in a scalloped with webbed sides shape made by Shelley China of England 1912-1926. The dish features gold trim and the hand enameled arms of Thomas a Becket who was murdered in Canterbury Cathedral for opposing the divorces of King Henry VIII and further made famous in the play Murder In The Cathedral by T. S. Eliot. The dish is .75 inch high and 3 inches in diameter. The back has the name of the merchant in Canterbury who ordered the dishes manufactured and sold them as souvenirs. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or gold loss. A great piece.
