| This fabulous antique leather handbag was hand tooled and sewn by the Maker Jemco! It features a floral lily embossed pattern on the front of the bag, hand-stitched seams, an old silver-plated brass frame and catch and a wonderful short strap. The interior of the bag is a darker brown well-worn suede. The bag measures 7 inches both ways and the strap measures 12 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. Overall excellent antique condition. The leather is smooth with no cuts or other damage. The strap has a tiny section where the border has unravelled as does the lower left bag seam. The frame has loads of patina, but is in great condition with no damage. Overall great piece featured in Richard Holingers Antique Purses on page 196 with a book value of $110.00! |
