This is a lovely vintage brown, high gloss cookie jar by Marcrest Stoneware USA. Has bands of impressed daisies and dots around the outside and the word "cookies" in script on the center. The stoneware jar is shaped like a butter churn and the lid is flat recessed. Unfortunately, the lid is cracked, but, was put together somewhat nicely. Maybe you know how to repair it. Measures 8" tall at the rim and 6" opening. Impressed, "Marcrest Oven Proof Stoneware USA" on the bottom. Other than the cracked lid, this cookie jar has no cracks, stains, chips or other damage. Clean, in good condition and SHINY IN AND OUT. |
