1857: Merchants’ Bank of South Carolina. 5 Dollars Note.
This is a scarcer, neat example of a $5 Note issued by the Merchants’ Bank of South Carolina at Cheraw in 1857. This note has a great group of vignettes of figures, ship and train.
This is regular cut, no pinholes, it is intact and circulated. Hand signed by tze president and numbered - a neat piece of our early currency history from South Carolina.
No folds, vivid appearance, very good...

China, Cultural Revolution. 5 different Vouchers for Foodstuff.
Peoples Republic of China 1965 – 1974: 5 different cereal vouchers in denomination 0.1, 0.5, 1, 3, 5 pounds. During the Cultural Revolution Period in China people could only buy cereals like rice, when they produced such coupons.
Even in restaurants rice was only served for vouchers.
Authentic items, different grading.
