The outlines have been printed, the colours added by hand.

Tarnów (German: Tarnau; Yiddish: טארנא-Turna) is a city in south-eastern Poland. The first recorded mention of the city was in 1224.

It became historically important in 1846 - beginning of the Galician peasant revolt which led to the so-called...

The postcard depicts 2 rabbits, a huge Easter Egg with Imperial Austrian coat of arms on in an 4 Easter eggs in front of it, representing Hungary, Germany Serbia, Italy and Turkey.

Published by the Red Cross War Aid office in Wien. The postcard belonged to the famous Weidemann collection ( small stamp at reverse...

In 1772 L´viv became part of Austria during the First Partition of Poland and was, known in German as Lemberg, the capital of the Austrian Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria.

W.W.I.: 5 Propaganda Vignettes against England. WW1: Five German vignettes ( sealing stamps ) with imprints: " Gott stafe England" ( May God punish England ). The stamps depict a Germanized God ( Wotan – type ) as he sends lightening on England.

All 4 stamps are unused and in very fine - fine condition.

Very attractive lithograph postcard " Rosa Zenoch". Rosa Zenoch was a World War 1 hero, a young lady who helped wounded soldiers.

The postcard depicts Rosa as she brings a mug of water to soldiers in a dugout. Designed by A. Kartellus.
