K.u.K. Marinefeldpostamt Pola cancellation and K.u.K. Kriegs-Marine S.M. Schiff Tegetthoff – strike. ( The Tegetthoff was one of the most important vessels of the Austro-Hungarian Empire ).

Very fine condition, complete letter, clean and fresh.

 

1857: Etching of the Great Leviathan. Decorative. Color Lithographed. Ca. 1857: A small boat with a few ladies and gentlemen rowing towards the Steamer Leviathan. A few sailing boats near the steamer.

Size of the actual print: 8.5 in. x 5.8 in., 11 in. x 8.8 in. including margins.

Blue color has been added to the etching by lithography print.

The original looks better than the image on screen.

In August 1857 the vessel was named Leviathan. But it was...
