The photo postcard has been published by "Neue Photographische Gesellschaft AG, Berlin Steglitz". Due to the silver bromide coating some parts have become shiny.

Overall fine condition, used as postcard from Berlin to Wien in 1902.

Art Nouveau Postcard. Pretty Mediterranean Lady. Pre-Raphaelite. 1902 Art Nouveau vintage postcard, tinted, artist signed: H. Ryland.

Henry Ryland was a painter, watercolorist, decorator and designer who was influenced by Puvis de Chavanne, Alma-Tadema and the Pre-Raphaelites. He was a pupil of Benjamin Constant and later Gustave Boulanger in Paris.

His favorite subject were young women in classical draperies.

It is one of the earlier Schoenpflug postcards with no lines or anything else printed at the reverse.
