Richere Beaded Handbag by Walborg Convertible Clutch Purse Lavishly beaded fabric purse has a label inside that reads RICHERE BAG BY WALBORG / MADE IN HONG KONG. Exterior is covered with silvertone sequins and several hundred dangling clear plastic teardrop beads that shimmer and shake with each movement. Quite a stunning effect! Interior is lined in white satin and has one wall pocket. Purse measures 7.5 inches wide by 6.25 inches high, not including handle. Silvertone snap frame and smooth chain handle. Carry this purse by its handle or tuck the handle inside to carry purse as a clutch. Very good condition, some wear and markings in interior. Lovely vintage accessory dates from the mid twentieth century. I’ve seen some lovely Walborg purses but never one as extravagantly beaded as this one. It shimmers like silvery ice.

Beaded Crocheted Vintage Drawstring Handbag Unusual purse was crocheted from ivory rayon crochet thread with stripes of metallic gold and wooden and metal bead trim. Bottom is translucent amber-colored plastic in a slightly conical shape. Unlined vintage purse measures 9 inches across the top when open and about 7 inches from the top edge to the plastic base. The plastic base is 6 inches in diameter. Drawstrings have patterned goldtone tips on their ends. Goldtone metal beads around the top edge are very attractive when the drawstrings are pulled closed. Excellent condition. Difficult to date as it is a handcrafted item but I am guessing mid-twentieth century.

Interior is lined in ivory leather-textured vinyl and has two wall pockets. One has the goldtone stamping of a spinning wheel and the words SYDNEY CALIFORNIA. Purse measures 8.75 inches across at the widest part by 8 inches high, not including handle. Four little goldtone metal feet on the bottom. Circa 1950s purse is in good condition with a little wear and some darkening to the goldtone trim but it is still a very attractive accessory.

Ivory satin lining with one wall pocket and a label that reads WALBORG HAND MADE IN HONG KONG. Beaded design is different on the front and the back; both sides are shown. Purse measures 6 3/8 inches high (not including handle) by 5 7/8 inches across the middle. Good condition with slight wear but all beads are present. The double chain handle, which may be doubled to make its length shorter, does not match the frame exactly and may be a replacement.

Dark Blue Koretolope Purse The inside of this vintage handbag is stamped with the manufacturer’s name – Koret – plus the name of this soft material: Koretolope – Made of "Non-Crockable" Suede Calf. Very soft material, feels like fine suede. Interior is lined in dark blue fabric, has an attached coin purse with a zipper, and two wall pockets, one of which contains a mirror. The top has a snap frame within the purse and lining - it opens and snaps shut without an exterior tab. Handle is made of Koretolope material and measures 19 inches, including brass rings. Vintage Purse - Crocheted Shell Pattern Vintage handbag was crocheted from spice-brown thread in the classic shell pattern. Crocheted double handle, woven fabric lining, and top metal zipper closure. Purse measures 6.75 inches high (not including handles) and 9.5 inches across the bottom (widest part). Across the top, it measures 7.25 inches. Good condition, with a couple of small light spots, minor soiling along the bottom, and a tear in the top picot-trimmed edge (see pictures). The woven pattern is a fine floral spray, almost oriental in appearance, like cherry blossoms. Vintage Crocheted Wool Drawstring Purse Unique drawstring handbag appears to have been created by a talented home needleworker. Ivory-colored wool yarn was crocheted in a ridged pattern. Top has two drawstrings so it’s easy to open and close. Unusual design looks like it has "shoulders" (see pictures). Bag measures 10.5 inches across the widest part by 8.5 inches high, including the top ruffle. Very good condition. Because it was made at home, it is difficult to be sure of its age, but I would guess that it dates from anywhere from the 1940s to the 1950s. Beginning in the 1960s, synthetic yarns became so popular that it is unlikely that a crocheter would choose wool for a purse.

Because it is wool, I am including a little lavender sachet that I have stored with it.
