Vintage Dog Figurine Possibly Rio Hondo This little guy looks very similar to figurines made by Rio Hondo of California (mid twentieth century) but he is not marked. Ceramic dog measures 2.5 inches long and has an unglazed bottom. Very good condition, glaze is crazed but no chips or cracks.

Dog Figurine with Ring on Tail – Japan The unusual feature of this little dog is the ring on the tip of his tail. I have not been able to find out the significance of it. It looks as though he could be the ring bearer at a wedding. Vintage china figurine measures almost 3.75 inches from nose to tail and 2.25 inches high. Bottom of one paw is marked in red with the words MADE IN JAPAN and a symbol that is partially missing. Brown-eyed dog is white with brown spots. The ring appears to have been gold-trimmed but shows some wear. Good condition, except for two tiny broken flower petals at his neck (see close-up).

MIJ Dog Toothpick Holder and Vase Whimsical orange and white ceramic dog sits by a green tub toothpick holder. Bottom is marked MADE IN JAPAN in red. Glaze is applied carelessly. Dog measures just over 2 inches high. Someone has written on the bottom "Galva '38" in pencil. (Galva is a town about 20 miles from Kewanee, Illinois, which is where Mama Cat used to live). Tiny vase is also carelessly decorated. Peach-colored lustre finish with floral design on front. Vase measures 1.5 high and is marked JAPAN MADE in black. Both pieces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks.

Running Dog Wall Plaque, Jumping Fence This little pup looks as though he’s leaping over the fence below. Vintage ceramic wall plaque measures 5 inches across. Three-dimensional dog and fence. The fence is set out from the plate background almost like a wall pocket, but too shallow to be a real wall pocket. String hanger on back. A previous owner has written MEXICO on the back but I do not know if it was made there or merely purchased there. Judging by the glaze crazing, plaque is mid-twentieth century. Good condition, no chips or cracks, just the crazing. Very cute dog with long ears flying behind him.

Little Poodle Schnoodle Figurine Japan Actually, he looks just like a schnoodle I used to know. A schnoodle is a cross between a schnauzer and a poodle. This little vintage china cutie stands only 2.5 inches tall and is stamped with a number and JAPAN in black on his bottom, although only part of the stamp shows. I can make out a 1 and a 5, but cannot see the rest of the number. He is in very good condition, is thoroughly house-trained, and would love to come live in your shadowbox with the rest of your doggie figurines.
