The edge has a graduated swirl pattern that looks like a cross between a nautilus shell and a pie crust. Pottery ashtray measures 5 1/5 inches across, and is marked on the bottom with the number 3499 and U.S.A. Very good condition, only one tiny 2mm chip on the rim - a very minimal flaw.
