Redware pottery ashtray is an elongated kidney shape, with two sections: one to hold ashes and one (roughly teardrop shaped) with a lid - - perhaps to hold matches? Beautiful brown glaze has a drippy/swirled pink design. Lid has an embossed leaf near the edge. Excellent condition. Ashtray measures almost 10.5 inches long by 4.75 inches wide at the middle. Bottom has a blue & gold label that reads ORIGINAL ARNART CREATION JAPAN.
