Ceramic piece measures about 4.75 inches high by just over 4 inches wide. Dark blue & silver foil label on the bottom reads 1934 with the Century of Progress logo, then A Century Of Progress Chicago.
Figural piece depicts a couple on a loveseat. The lady is seated on the loveseat and the man is down on one knee – possibly proposing to her? Quite romantic! There are two compartments in back, one shallow and one deep, which will hold cigarettes and matches. It could be used for many other items, as a charming and unique desk or vanity accessory. It appears that the colors are cold-painted because they are wearing off, especially on the woman’s lap. It is still very colorful and otherwise, it is in good shape for its age with no chips or cracks.
