Two-tone dog has two loops on the back to slide onto a chain or small bead strand, perhaps a silky rope necklace (necklace not included). Silvertone with goldtone accents, the dog measures 1.75 inches across, from nose to tail, and he is signed Best in script in a rectangular plaque on the back. He is virtually identical to Sarah Coventry’s Shaggy Dog of the 1970s, but is signed by Best. He is an indeterminate stylized breed that reminded me of a komondor, but a dog expert who looked at him identified him as a basset hound. No matter what breed he represents, or what jewelry company created him, he is a cutie, and will grace the neck of the lucky dog lover who receives him.
