Courtesy of the Midwest Super Mart of Evanston, Illinois, this charming cook booklet contains some wonderful recipes. It unfortunately does not include a date but I estimate it as being circa late 1950s to early 1960s. It looks like a self-published booklet (an early zine) and does not include pictures. Some of the recipes include Butterscotch Meringue Apple Pie, Bride’s Cake, Ham Balls Casserole Bavarian, Joe Froggers (a spice cookie), Spicy Chicken a la Chinese, Sour Cream Biscuits, Short Ribs That Are Different (Sweet and Sour Like), Marshmacnut Salad, Lemon Barbecue Sauce, Krazy Kake with Fluffy Pink Peppermint Frosting, Forgotten Torte, and more. Good condition. 36 pages.
