Vintage ceramic box in a romantic heart shape is white, shaded with dark green, and the lid is topped with lovely three-dimensional pin roses, complete with leaves and stems. Box measures 6 inches across the widest part by 6.5 inches by about 3.5 inches deep. The bottom has the numbers 109/8 stamped in black and a blue and siler foil label, but the label is so worn that the only word I can make out on it is JAPAN. This is probably a mid-twentieth century import item. Box is in very good condition with one very tiny (2mm) chip in a rose petal (see closeup photo).
