LOVELY ART DECO MINIATURE LADIES' POWDER FINGER PURSE
Circa 1920s-30s flapper era, depression era, ladies' miniature finger purse powder compact. Apprx 1 1/4" diameter, sleek art deco octagonal shape with geometric machine work decoration. Little finger ring and chain apprx 3 3/4" long, no marks, looks to be silver plated rather than sterling.
Ladies wore these to dances and could easily hold from her finger while she danced, always ready for the quick trip to the powder room to powder her nose.
Compact purse is chatelaine style and shows wear. Still in good vintage condition, sold as found, unpolished, closes tightly, no interior mirror or powder puff. Still a lovely and collectible and functional/wearable piece.

LOVELY ANTIQUE DECO FLAPPER ERA COMPACT PURSE w TASSEL
Body of compact purse apprx 2 1/2" diameter, apprx 10" total length including chain and tassle. Circa 1920s. Brass chain handle, machine worked silvertone (nickel silver?) body.
Interior is a bit rough...mirrror is darkeded. Little rouge cover no longer present.
Priced accordingly, fun period piece good for display or restoration.

UNUSUAL VINTAGE DECO SILVER TONE VINTAGE ROUGE? COMPACT
I'm unsure exactly what this is. It looks to date to the 1920s or 30s and measures about 1 1/8" diameter. It is a miniature container with a loop on top and some sort of sponge in the insde of the lid.
Would love to know more about this if you have information on it.
Good vintage condition, metal is nice and free of pitting or apparent wear.

RARE MINIATURE SILVER VICTORIAN CHATELAINE FINGER PURSE
Apprx 1 1/8' by 3/4" little miniature hand etched chased hinged compact, apprx 4 3/4" long from the finger ring to the end.
Dates to the late 1800s, early 1900s, Victorian or Edwardian period. No marks though I do believe it is sterling silver.
This was definitely used. Small dent on the front, scratches on the back. Still lovely to use and display.
Priced accordingly.

Like new condition, never used, oval bevelled mirror (needs to be re-epoxied), apprx 3" by 2 1/8". Circa 1950s-60s, hinged compartment to reveal a fitted never-used powder pat. Stays closed nicely. Minimal surface wear from storage. Very simple but special.

VINTAGE COTY ENVELOPE STYLE POWDER MIRROR COMPACT
Apprx 3.5" by 2.75", goldtone, textured, opens like an envelope, circa 1940s-50s signed Coty compact.
Really nice, special...has a mirror and fold out section for powder. All original with original powder pat, incised with the Coty trademark both on the compact itself and the powder puff. Still has powder inside!
Good vintage condition with some oxidation on the outside.

Rare little compact, from my personal collection, black and red enameling, marked Houbigant on the side, mirror with rouge and powder inside, comb slides out of the secret top compartment.
Good condition, complete, original, some minimal verdigris on the front corner, otherwise nearly perfect.

PAIR ANTIQUE CELLULOID ART DECO HUMOROUS PURSE MIRROR
Apprx 2 1/8" diameter, photographed are two mirrors, this is for BOTH of them.
One is the mirror which states:
SWEET SIXTEEN-MAYBE!
It has a graphic drawing print of a young flapper era girl. Celluloid on one side and original mirror on the other. Mirror shows aging as would be expected. Good vintage condition.
The other mirror is also 2 1/8" diameter in the same condition.
It states:
GEE! I WISH I HAD A FELLOW

Silver tone metal, perhaps a nickel silver, apprx 1 7/8" diameter, octagonal shape, wonderful hand etched design, apprx 22" chain to wear as a necklace if desired.
Rare and wonderful design, decorated on the back and sides too, unsure of exact origin.
Good condition with expected wear, age estimated to be early to mid 1900s.

RARE! ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU STERLING BLACKINTON COMPACT
From my private collection, purchased from an Atlanta estate 20+ yrs ago. Approximately 107 grams. Measures about 3 1/4" by 3 3/8", cigarette compact, stamped sterling silver with a hallmark with an arrow through letter B. A helpful collector informed me that this mark indicates this is a piece by R. Blackinton.
Incredible workmanship, screaming art nouveau design, Unger Brothers quality circa 1890s-1910s.
Very unusual and unique. Scene shows a man in raised relief smoking a cigarette, and in the wavy smoke are three Gibson Girl era women's faces floating around him. ON the back is a hand engraved triple monogram that looks like it may be MCA. Not so sure about the last letter.
Lovely sterling silver piece, heavy, well made, very good vintage condition, warm unpolished patina. No damage or repair, minimal wear, opens and closes tightly. I have never put cigarettes in this.
A little about this company thanks to the informative collector:
R. Blackinton & Co. was founded in 1862 by Walter Ballou and Roswell Blackinton in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. I believe this was their earliest mark used until 1900.

Compact dates to the 1920s-40s. Apprx 3" by 2 1/8". Charming suitcase figural. Marked Made in Austria. Bevelled mirror, screen for powder, powder pat. Outside of compact is covered with stamps from other countries...Acapulco, Monterrey, Oaxaca, Taxco, U.S.A., more.
Very special, incredible condition with only a slight bit of enamel loss on the edge near the handle, from my own collection.

VINTAGE SCENIC BUTTERFLY WING HINGECO VANITY COMPACT
Circa 1920s-30s powder and rouge compact. Apprx 3" by 2 1/8", splendid iridescent tropical scene on the front. Interior mirror is aged and original.
Compact is in very good vintage condition. It would be near perfect except that the back enamelling is mostly off. Front of the compact is mint, interior is original.

Measures about 1 7/8" by 1" and is stamped "ITALY 800". Opens on a hinge, clasps nicely. One small ding on the bottom, otherwise free of any imperfections. Sold as found, unpolished. Weighs 16 grams.
