RARE 1914-16 FRENCH GUERRE WAR WWI Sterl SHIELD RING This is a rarity indeed! Found in Europe recently by MOI, while in Paris, this World War One ring seems to commemorate the dates 1914 to 1916. I assume this was the tern of a soldier and was given to his sweetheart as a remembrance.

Unmarked, it appears to be sterling silver, and it's about a size 7 1/2, easily fitting my ring finger with a little room left over.

The ring has a shield figural center with the engraved initials "R" and either "C" or "J", I believe. It's hard to read as it's done in Edwardian script. Down the outside of the shank is the dates "1914-16" on one side and "GUERRE" on the other side for "WAR".

The ring is in excellent condition with a fabulous rich patina. It shows some light wear, but it is incredibly well preserved and free of damage or repair. The shank is strong and round with no dents or soft areas. It could be sized, though I'd not recommend it due to its age and authenticity.

A fabulous piece of militaria, this is not to be missed...unless you're planning on going to France and scouring the Parisian markets, I doubt you'll ever find another!  

ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN GOLD FILLED GOLDSTONE RING Interesting late Victorian, early Edwardian gold filled ring, circa 1890s-1910s, apprx size 6.5-7, unmarked, some wear, square goldstone in the center, nice vintage condition.  

UNIQUE RARE 1800s VICTORIAN GUTTA PERCHA GRAPES BROOCH! From my own collection comes this authentic rare gutta percha brooch dating to the mid to late 1800s. It measures approximately 2" by 1 5/8 and has its original imbedded brass "C" clasp. It is unusual in that it has a raised relief of a bunch of grapes in realistic three dimensional relief.

The brooch is in good condition considering its age though it has some minor chipping on the edges as illustrated in my photos.  

SUPERB 19th CENTURY VICTORIAN SASHPIN BROOCH Measures about 2 3/4" by 1 1/2", circa late 1800s early 1900s, brass with gold gilt, authentic Victorian period piece, sashpin with buckle motif. Splendid design, original, excellent condition, no damage or repair.  

UNUSUAL VICTORIAN DOG MOTIF SCARF PIN or BROOCH Gold filled or gold gilt, very different little pin from any I've ever had before. Figural dog, unsure of the breed, bulldog or terrier perhaps? If you are familiar with dogs, feel free to share the information with me.

The pin is about 1" wide, 1/2" deep. Great detail, "C" clasp, no damage or repair, excellent condition.  

UNUSUAL VICTORIAN MOSCOWITZ STERLING VERMEILL HAIRPIN Apprx 2 1/4" long, sterling w/ a gold wash, very old, early 1900s, stamped "B MOSCOWITZ STERLING". Weighs about 3 grams. Lovely period piece!  

SET 4 EDWARDIAN GOLDSTONE LINGERIE or BABY PINS BARPIN Rare set of 4 matching brass and goldstone miniature barpins, circa early 1900s, apprx 7/8" long each. Each have "C" clasps, very good condition, no damage or repair, original, baby pins or lingerie pins. I've never had 4 that matched before these. Price is for ALL four.  

UNUSUAL VICTORIAN EDWARDIAN SASH PIN BROOCH Aprx 2 5/8" by 2 1/4", circa 1890s-1910s, late Victorian, early Edwardian authentic period piece. Sash pin brooch, brass with gold wash or gilt, purple rhinestone hand set stones in the corners, "C" clasp, superb and unique criss cross design, excellent vintage condition.  

UNUSUAL JET GLASS VICTORIAN BEAD MOURNING BRACELET Very different, late 1800s, coil style, either true jet or matte finish, adjusts to fit most wrists, strung on a hard wire. Aprox 9" of beads, coils around. Beads are irregularly shaped. Very good vintage condition, never seen another like it.  

RARE OLD 1910 HALLEY'S COMET GOLD FILLED BROOCH Apprx 1.5" gold filled Halley's Comet brooch. Unusual and lovely. Original unpolished patina, "C" clasp, no damage or repair, very good vintage condition.  

OLD VICTORIAN ANGEL SKIN CORAL CAMEO BROOCH Aprx 1" by 3/4", brass or gold filled openworked setting mounting, hand carved angel skin coral cameo, good vintage condition, "C" clasp, no damage or repair. Could use a little cleaning, that's all.  

SUPERB 19th CENTURY VICTORIAN ROSE GOLD ENGRAVABLE PIN Apprx 1 5/8" wide, rose gold, either carat or heavy rolled gold, very pretty. Never engraved, looks like it was made to hang a locket or pendant from the center. "C" clasp, all origial, no wear, circa 1860s-80s, authentic period piece, hand made and decorated, lovely shape, excellent condition.  

VICTORIAN HARDSTONE CAMEO CARNELIAN BARPIN BROOCH This is a nice old late 1800s to early 1900s Victorian to Edwardian era bar pin. It is brass with a gold filled or gold wash and it has a delicate openworked design. In the center is a small hand carved hardstone cameo...I believe this is considered either sardonyx or carnelian...I'm not sure. It is white with a lavender, then cornelian color stone. It appear to be carved from one piece of stone, NOT two that have been glued on like some. It is not highly detailed, but it looks nice when worn and is a nice miniature.

In good condition, this shows expected wear, but it is free of damage or repair. It's original with a "C" clasp and nice style. A wearable and collectible Victorian bar pin this can be worn as a lapel pin or barpin brooch by men or women.  

DELICATE GOLD GILT VICTORIAN ENAMEL BARPIN BROOCH Apprx 2" wide, circa 1880s, gold gilt barpin brooch, star flower motif, enamel flower accents, "C" clasp, good vintage condition.  

CHARMING LATE 1800s VICTORIAN PHOTO PIN BROOCH of CHILD Apprx 1 3/8" diameter, late 1800s, faded photo of a little girl, brass twisted frame, "C" clasp, celluloid cover over photo, nice Victorian brooch, good vintage condition.  

AUTHENTIC VICTORIAN BRASS PURPLE STONE SASH BUCKLE Apprx 2 1/4" square, openwork design, sparkly square cut faceted purple amethyst colored glass or crystal stones set on each side. Nice heavy weight, nice patina, very good vintage condition.  

ORNATE VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER BELT SASH SLIDE Apprx 2 3/8" by a little over 3/4", lovely scalloped floral design, solid sterling silver, stamped "STERLING, circa late 1800s, early 1900s, ornate belt or sash slide. Could be used with hats or a scarf, cool accessory. Sold in as found, unpolished condition, warm patina, excellent vintage condition.  

OLD VICTORIAN DUTCH TINTYPE PHOTO PIN BROOCH Apprx 1 1/8" diameter. MADE IN HOLLAND on the back, base metal frame. "C" clasp, photo is dark, good vintage condition.  

SUPERB EDWARDIAN BRASS FILIGREE PASTE SASH BUCKLE PIECE Measures about 2 3/8" by 1 7/8", brass filigree buckle type accessory that appears to have been meant to be sewn or attached to a sash or piece of clothing. Early 1900s, paste stones, green and clear faceted rhinestones hand set with prongs. Lovely piece, excellent vintage condition.
