Lovely lines, old patina, unpolished, sold as found, has small plastic inserts with the months and days. Measures about 4.5" by 3.75". Dates to the 1930s-40s, in my estimate.

Very nice vintage condition.
 

VICTORIAN CARVED MOTHER of PEARL FAIRCHILD DIP PEN Late 1800s, hand engraved chased gold filled metal with carved mother of pearl. Lovely swirl design. Apprx 5.5" long.

Sold as found...what you see is what you get. No tip, and a small little metal piece on the side that looks as if someone had attempted to make this a brooch of some sort. not sure. Stamped FAIRCHILD in the side.

Would be great to use in a shadowbox or art project or even to restore.

ANTIQUE WOVEN SILK GOLDEN RULE BOOKMARK GREETING CARD You are buying one of these, though two are available.

These were put out by the Quality Weaving Company of Philadelphia, made in U.S.A., and each are marked as such on the back. I am unsure of their age, but I'd guess they are at least 50 years old or more.

Each card is on an off white paper stock and has an embroidered or woven book mark greeting tucked into the front. The bookmark reads as follows:

The Golden Rule

Do onto others as you would have others do unto you

The cloth is peach colored with orange thread. On the inside of each card is a place for a greeting or message and the following:

This woven greeting may be detached and used as a book mark

Never used, this would make an excellent stocking stuffer for the bookworm in the family. They are both excellent with minor wear from storage only. Remember, you are bidding on ONE of these; please check out my other auctions and storefront to bid on the other one.

I have seen some of the Stevengraph woven and embroidered pieces, and though this is not a true Stevengraph,this would make a nice usable piece for a fraction of the cost, yet would look nice alongside some of the rarer and more expensive ones.
 

1977 LUCITE MARIJUANA LEAF PEN SET ADVERTISING GIVEAWAY This is truly a unique and rare item. It came out of an estate purchase from years ago and has been my keeper ever since.

The base is a heavy lucite piece apprx 5 1/4" by 4". It has a long pen which has a mount on the top right corner.

The following is stated:

I have never seen a advertising premium like this before. Evidently some of the employees, or perhaps one in particular, was gifted with this at the meeting that weekend in 1977.

In very good condition, this is a great desk piece as well as an advertising piece. Keep in mind that the leaf is not contraband as it is useless due to being contained in the lucite.

A truly interesting conversation piece!
 

HUGE VINTAGE MECHANICAL PENCIL SALESMAN SAMPLE I have never seen anything quite like this so bear with me...
Measuring about 8 1/4" long, this mechanical pencil appears to be a salesman's sample or store prop or display. It must be rare, as I've been collecting and selling for nearly 2 decades and have not seen this type of piece before. If anyone knows more about these, I would love to hear from you.

The lovely pencil is made of brass and is FULLY functional! That's right...it has a very thick lead point which mechanically puches out at the twist of the end piece. The only marking I could find was a "MADE IN GERMANY" hallmark around the top of it.

Rather than being round, the pencil is squared off and has lovely Art Deco criss crossed machine work on 4 sides. Alternating with these sides are blue enameled stripes. The top removes to open up the cylinder for extra leads, and it also has an eraser still present and intact. My guess is that this dates to the 1920s or 30s.

In gently used condition, I have included several views to try to illustrate the fine condition and craftsmanship that went into this piece. The enameling is in very good, near mint condition, and it appears to be original and free of any repairs or damage. Pefect for the most advanced of collectors, this is offered at less than my initial purchase price many years ago to encourage bidding.

ANTIQUE ART DECO GREEN PLASTIC INKWELL PEN HOLDER Circa early to mid 1900s, green molded plastic, unusual inkwell, top section lifts off, shows gentle use, good vintage condition, about 3" tall, and 3 3/4" diameter around the base. Manufacturers name is too faint to read on the back of it.
 

VINTAGE ANTIQUE ART DECO SETH THOMAS ELECTRIC CLOCK Circa 1930s-40s, art deco retro electric Seth Thomas clock, superb streamlined design, clear numbers and face, heavy construction, convex glass, marked YUKON-2E on the back, measures about 6" by 5", works but the cord is old and replacement is recommended. Not expensive but I am selling it AS FOUND, AS IS, and priced accordingly. Very good condition aesthetically with minimal wear, collectible condition.

I have TWO of these in nearly identical condition from the same Atlanta estate.
 

SLEEK ANTIQUE VINTAGE ART DECO FRENCH PINK MARBLE CLOCK Purchased in an open air market in Paris France many years ago, measures about 9" tall and 8.25" wide, white marble base and a round pink marble body, circa early to mid 1900s, screaming art deco geometric lines. Quite pretty.

Sold as found, NOT working, never tried to get it fixed, I have only used it as display. Base is lose, has minimal nicks at the bottom but nothing detracting. At the border of the pink marble, below the "4" and "5" and the "8" and "7" are little white places where something may have originally been attached. I am unsure of what.

Sold as found, as a display only, not a working clock. I know it can either be fixed or a quartz movement be installed if you want it as a time piece.

Priced accordingly, these kinds of clocks sell for $250-$400 at stores, even in non-working condition.
 

VICTORIAN VULCANITE or GUTTA PERCHA MECHANICAL PENCIL Late 1800s to early 1900s, apprx 5" long, cannot find a maker's mark, oxidation on the tip, black body of pencil in very nice condition with a subtle Grecian key inspired design. Not sure of the material, some sort of early vulcanite or gutta percha of some sort. Gold filled metal end, nice elegant decoration.

Sold as found, appears to be functional. Lovely authentic Victoriana. Interior section intact. End unscrews to insert pencil lead.

VICTORIAN WAHL EVERSHARP VULCANITE MECHANICAL TELESCOPE PENCIL Elegant and rare Victorian mechanical telescopic pencil dating to the mid to late 1800s. The unusual writing implement measures about 2 3/4" long when closed; a simple pull at the end opens it to a little over 5" upon full extension.

Authentic pieces of Victoriana have become a rarity, and this is no exception. It is gold filled with lovely hand chased or etched work at the end and ;lovely machine work down the shaft. The center section is black and appears to be some sort of very early plastic materical like gutta percha or Vulcanite...more than likely Vulcanite, however, based on the color and feel. Though difficult to photograph showing the intricate detail, the center black section also has incredible machinework in a zig zag pattern.

In what I'd call mint to near mint condition, this pristine piece is fully operatable and ready to use. It appears to be all original and 100% complete and free of dings, dents, damage or repair. The gold filled finish is shiny and with its finish intact...don't miss this important item!
 

VICTORIAN GUTTA PERCHA VULCANITE RETRACTIBLE PENCIL Unsure if this is gutta percha or vulcanite, circa 1880s-early 1900s, Victorian period piece, lovely hand chased repousse design at the end, approx 2 3/4" long, over 5" when fully extended.

Beautiful and rare design, gold filled metal with a black rubber like material for the body, ornate zig zag machine work, functional with lead inside and intact! Excellent condition, usable, displayable, collectible! Perfect gift idea.

VINTAGE LUCITE 1960s REAL COIN! PEN HOLDER for DESK! This is cool..real coins inside clear lucite, all coins are dated from the mid 1960s, base about 2 7/8" diameter, 1" thick, very unique piece. Pen holder will hold a standard size pen. Minimal wear, good vintage condition with some surface scratches as would be expected.
 

ANTIQUE ART DECO CELLULOID PAINTED MINI PICTURE FRAME Approx 5" by 3 1/4", celluloid with hand painted roses in diagonal corners, awesome late Edwardian to art deco style, circa 1920s or a bit earlier, free standing, holds a 4" by 2 3/8" photo or picture. Backing needs to be re-glued to the front, but otherwise in very good vintage condition, no cracks or damage or repair.

From my personal collection, these are increasingly harder to find.
