Purchased this year on the streets of Paris comes this lovely cut crystal round vanity piece that can be used for pwder or trinkets. It measures about 4 7/8" in diameter and is -nearly 2" tall. I'm unsure of its exact date or origin, but the lovely cut design looks like it is art deco period. The jar has a starburst or sunburst type design in the top and bottom with splendid cutting on the sides and top that match. It is in excellent condition with the desired wear on the bottom to show it was a well loved piece that is NOT a reproduction. A superb example of European or French glass, this is offered for less than my price while in France. I couldn't find a maker's mark on it, but it is as nice as many signed pieces. |
