This stunning necklace measures about 15.5" long and probably dates to the early to mid 1900s...1920s to the 40s. It's a delightful choker necklace and has a smart art deco carved design. I'm not sure of the material, and while some people call this bakelite, It's NOT bakelite. It may be celluloid, or another old plastic material, and some have thought that maybe it was a type of ivory or nut. I believe they may be GALALITH, often used in the French designs of LOUIS ROUSSELET. Regardless, this graduated choker necklace is simply awesome! The center beads are an ivory color with black on top. They've been either hand carved or machine carved, and they have the most amazing art deco look.

| White and black beads, also with carving or machine work, make up the rest of the piece. In excellent condition, they are strung on a metal cord and are secure and free of damage or repair. A fabulous piece for the lover of authentic antique art deco jewelry! |
