Size: 2 7/8" across and 1/2" at it

Straight from a local estate in Atlanta comes this incredible Art Deco (late Edwardian era) bar pin.

Dating back to the early part of this century, this true period piece is the real thing!! Measuring approximately 2 7/8" across and 1/2" at it's widest point, this lovely piece is a rare treasure I usually only dream of finding.

The classic brooch is amazingly styled of 14K white gold in a openworked filligree design that just screams of the late 1920s to early 30s art deco era. In the center is a round, faceted European cut diamond which I estimate to be about 45 to 50 points...approx. half a carat. It's securely bezel set, and is a bright white stone of a very nice VS2 to S1 clarity. Above and below the center stone are 2 more diamonds of similar quality, which I estimate to be 5 to 7 points each. There is also a bezel set diamond on each end of the pin, each of similar quality of about 10 points each. Additionally, there are 58 more diamonds which I believe to be approximately 1 to 4 points each adorning the piece for a total of about 63 stones and nearly 2 carats of firery diamonds!!

The original clasp has the early type of closure and though the mark is worn, I guarantee it to be at least 14K white gold or better, though it feels like it has the weight of platinum. The actual pin shank is a yellow gold, indicating that it was probably replaced, though unnoticeable. The piece is quite amazing, though it's not 100% perfect. If you hold it at a side view, you can see it is very slightly bent on one side, and in the center on both sides of the center stone, there is a small break in the metal side. This in no way affects the way the piece looks when worn, and all the stones are secure and intact with no missing stones. I've included photos to try to illustrate the shortcomings, and as you can see, it is only evident when very closely scrutinized. That said, this piece is in excellent and wearable condition and would make quite the find for the pickiest of collectors or appreciators of authentic period jewelry!

Please bear in mind that I am NOT a gemologist and my assessment of the stones are my estimations based on my experience in the jewelry business for nearly 15 years. I am offering this at a reserve of far less than appraised value, and will guarantee it to your satisfaction or your money back...risk free!! I am confident that the buyer of this piece will realize what a rare and lovely treasure it is!

PICTURE TO COME SOON...MY HOST SERVER WNET OUT OF BUSINESS AND I WILL BE TAKING NEW PHOTOS SHORTLY!
