Just in from a local estate collection exclusively to the internet comes this rare cut crystal glass powder jar. Dating back to the late 1800s to early 1900s, this highly collectible vanity accessory measures approximately 4 1/2" in diameter at its widest point.
This unique piece is made of beautiful transluscent green cut glass. I am not sure of its origin, but it could very well be European as it came out of a collection of all kinds of very old Italian and French items.
The lovely heavily cut crystal treasure is made of two pieces which fit togehter without the need for a hinge. It's got a wonderful brilliant period pattern done on boith pieces, unusual for it to be so intricately cut even on the bottom.
In excellent condition, the powder jar is intact and ready to use or display on your dresser or vanity!.... All original, the piece is in better than expected condition with only minor wear on its bottom and a few little chigger bites on its rim. I only mention this for the sake of being thorough; it is in no way distracting or in need of repair or attention. Surely a welcomed addition to the most advanced of collections, why not add this one to YOURS today? |
