This is a simple brooch made from an 1889 coin that appears to be British (English). It has a lovely shield design with typical Victorian motifs and a rich darkened unpolished patina. It was made into a brooch a very long time ago and is in very good condition with minimal wear and one slight ding on an edge. It looks like a raised relief of Queen Victoria on the back. Wearable and unusual, this is an excellent Victorian coin memento.
