Lovely hand carved shell cameo, Italian, beautifully mounted in karat gold bezel mounting. Measures 1 1/8" by 1 5/8", worn on an oval, horizontally. Lovely natural color contrast in the shell. Detail is exquisite, lovely tendrils of hair on the Victorian or Nouveau style woman in profile. Leaves and flowers in hair. Gorgeous hand made gold setting with a twisted wire adornment, swivel bale on top to hang from a necklace chain. Very good condition with two small hairlines on the side as pictured.
