Purchased in Paris last year, old bronze medallion, heavy, relief of a man doing the hurdles. Someone has used a marker to fill in names, etc. Never engraved. "Barriere De St. Gilles". I believe it may be from Belgium, rather than France. Back says "PREMIER SAUTEUR EN CHAMBRE". Roughly translates to "FIRST JUMPER IN ROOM". Very cool bronze miniature! |
