From my own collection comes this authentic rare gutta percha brooch dating to the mid to late 1800s. It measures approximately 2" by 1 5/8 and has its original imbedded brass "C" clasp. It is unusual in that it has a raised relief of a bunch of grapes in realistic three dimensional relief.
The brooch is in good condition considering its age though it has some minor chipping on the edges as illustrated in my photos. |
