Straight from my personal collection exclusively to the internet comes this matching pair of silver topped dresser jars. Dating back to the late 1800s to early 1900s, this rare set measures approximately 2" in diameter by 2" high.
Uniquely designed, the bottles each have a crystal base which is round, but also octagonal. Each has a lovely matching silver top, one is a screw top, the other just sits on the base. I believe the screw top was for rouge or cream, the other maybe for powder? The tops are both marked "STERLING" in the center.
The set is in very good condition. The crystal shows a little of its age on the bottome, but is impeccable and unchipped otherwise. The lids have a couple of dings on them, though nothing that detracts from their beauty or requires repair or restoration. Surely a welcomed addition to the most advanced of collections, why not add this one to yours today? |
