Effanbee walker doll! Looks to dat to the 1950s, maybe even late 1940s. I am not a doll expert so bear with me. She is about 14" tall, and her head turns from side to side when you move her legs. She is jointed, a white material that is probably a hard plastic, though it looks like compositiion to me.
She has straight legs, long sandy brown hair, sleep eyes, rooted eyelashes, a painted mouth. lightly blushed cheeks and knees, and she's marked "EFFANBEE" on the back of her torso and neck.
She wears a blue plaid pleated skirt and matching ruffled top with white and red boots that remind me of majorette or even cowboy boots. Very adorable!
She is in played with condition, could use a hairdo, and her body has expected soiling. I've not tried to clean her up. Her body is securely jointed and the sleep eyes and walkin mechanisms are in excellent condition. A very nice doll! |
