Black metal case. I have had this for over 15 or 20 years. It does turn on when plugged in though I have not hooked it up to a cable to see if it will pick up a signal. Lots of static sounds when I plug it in and the tubes light up, looks like the style of an an old Studebaker car!
VERY kitchy and 50s. Appears to be all original. Front cover needs to be reattached...looks like a minimal job, possibly a little tab that needs reattaching. It was fine for years when I displayed it and then one day I noticed the cover was detached at the top.
Otherwise in really nice condition. I found one other online for about $245, except it was white and didn't say whether or not it works.
I honestly believe that this would work with minimal TLC...a new cord, a good cleaning, and a cable adaptor and you could be watching I LOVE LUCY reruns before you know it. |
