Interesting necklace, graduated natural genuine branch coral beads, apprx 15" long, unusual coral colored glass and silvertone metal clasp marked CZECHOSLOVAKIA.
Unsure of age...clasp from the 1920s-30s, when it was strung is anyone's guess.
Lovely rich deep orange color, necklace in very good vintage condition.
Branch coral is a rare item as coral has become practically extinct in modern day.
May need restringing though it doesn't feel weak...I always mention that since restringing old beads is a basic part of maintainance when it comes to these types of necklaces. |
